About Mori

The Story Behind the Name:

Satellite Tagging: The Board of Governors of the State University System wanted to name a fierce bull shark “Mori” after its outgoing Chair Mori Hosseini. Our Chair is a champion of higher education in Florida for over two decades. Like a bull shark, Mori is strong, determined and fearless. All the citizens of Florida are well-served by Mori’s leadership. Of particular significance, this particular bull shark was tagged with the assistance of Nika Hosseini, Mori’s daughter and a student at the University.
