The Story Behind the Name:
Blue Devil 2, known as BD2 to his friends, is named after the Duke Blue Devils. His adopter, Bill Gallwey, is a big fan of sharks and wanted to support the efforts of Dr. Neil Hammerschlag and his team. He heard from people at RSMAS that he could support the Shark Research Program and have a shark of his own at the same time. Bill’s hope is to interest others in adopting one of these magnificent creatures.
