About Fluffy
Story Behind the Name: I decided to name the shark Fluffy because one of the largest missions of my organization, Save Our Sharks, is to show a softer side of sharks. When I was 11, I saw a film on shark finning at the San Francisco Ocean Film Festival and I wanted to do something to help, so I began raising money by selling soap and t-shirts while spreading information about sharks to young people in my community. Now that I’ve raised enough money for a shark tag, I’m excited to share the story of Fluffy with the young people who contributed to this project!
